I think that the software should aim, as much as possible, to serve the UI from http://openscanpi (or whatever the Rpi's IP is) without having to use the :1880 port or the "/ui" path.
The http server should really be listening for requests on port 80.
That way there is no need for the address to have an explicit port to work.
I understand that the software is currently in development but this particular thing makes it difficult for beginners to start making use of the hardware they spent time and money putting together.
The Node-Red admin (or whatever that is) is referenced by the FAQ as being only for experts and curious people, so it really makes no sense for it be the thing that appears on the page when using typing http://openscanpi:1880 in the browser's address bar.
The UI should be served from that address or at least that address should redirect to the UI
